...I can do all things through Christ Jesus...

Hi and thanks for checking out the site. If you’re here then I’m assuming you’ve either seen me racing or have seen a picture of me somewhere in a triathlon related article.

This is a front page for my main web site, but is actually the driving force behind what I do. My name is Jonathan Hotchkiss and I’m a Christian and also a Professional Triathlete. I compete and strive for great things in the sport, as a way to bring Glory to Jesus (Psalm 29:2).

I have long felt a call on my life to serve God in some way in sport and this is the road that he has, eventually, lead me down. I want to be able to show that being a Christian isn’t for “weak” people who use “faith” and the church as a crutch to lean on, nor is it about being boring. But that God wants to bless us and for us to bless him, by blessing others and honouring him in ALL that we do. I want to try and be an example of encouragement and motivation to others, that with God all things are possible and that he can turn our greatest weaknesses into strengths (Hebrews 11:34). All of this is only possible because of Jesus Christ and his saving grace, that paid the price for my sin on the cross and conquered death when he rose 3 days later.

Everything I do is undeniably through his power at work in me (Philippians 4:13) and I draw great strength from living my life serving a God with whom I have such a wonderful and personal relationship.
